My Christmas and Future Collection Series

Is anyone already dreading all that after Christmas clean-up?

I am currently looking at my closet and wondering how I am going to clean it all out, but I missed blogging and now that the struggles of Christmas shopping and preparations is over, I am back and ready to share some new and exciting things that are happening!

First off, for those of you that celebrate Christmas, I hope it was merry!

My family made some homemade tamales and it is no wonder so many people would rather buy them instead! It is a lot of work…

Christmas came and went. I am happy to say that I got what I truly needed this Christmas which was a new laptop! My old one would not charge at all. It would stay on 0% and shut off if it was unplugged. The service was slow, and it caused major set backs in a lot of my videos, but I am happy to say that I have a new laptop that will hopefully be more reliable in the years to come. I spent a lot of time with family that I hardly get to see and I enjoyed every second of it. I have been eating so many tamales, but I am going to get back on that workout grind!

My last YouTube video was Last Minute Gift Wrapping Hacks, that I uploaded Saturday and I am currently working on my collection series which is where I pretty much dedicate a video to showing all my shoes, or all my skirts, dresses, scarfs etc…

I got two new pairs of shoes this Christmas, so with that said, I am going to kick things off with my shoe collection! If you are interested to know more about what exactly I have in my closet, you will definitely want to subscribe to my YouTube channel to see my collection series that I am going to have. You can find me on YouTube at AlamoCitySara

I got 248 views on my Rainy+Cold Day Outfits video which is wonderful! I’m so glad this is being useful for some style inspiration! Aside from this video, my Emperor Kuzco Costume Tutorial video still has the most views at 377 views! Be sure to give it a thumbs up if you like what you see and subscribe to me! Take a look at my rainy+cold day outfit video if you missed it right here:

I will get my next video up asap, but in the meantime I want to know what you all got for Christmas because I would love to hear all about it! Be sure to always remain grateful for what you have and to just be good people! We only have about a week left of 2017 so make it count!

Stay Stylish 🙂

Last Day of School Outfit + Future Plans

“I AM SO DONE!”

I know many of you hear these words when someone has had enough of whatever is going on and are really frustrated. HOWEVER…I am actually saying this in total happiness and joy because I have officially completed the Fall semester of 2017! I can finally focus more on my personal endeavors for the next two weeks, which means I will hopefully have some more YouTube videos posted on my channel for you all to see as well as more blog posts on here. I still post daily on my Instagram account which you can find at: alamocitysara

I miss writing on here and I know that I haven’t been as active as I have in the past, but with the workload of being a full-time student out of the way, I know this will change. I have only received one final grade which was a 97 in Business Communication. I am still waiting for my other grades, but as soon as I get them, I will let you all know. With that said, I want to take a moment to congratulate anyone who may be graduating this year! I personally do not know anyone who is, but for those all around the world who are…

Although I am done with school for now until Spring, I wanted to show you guys what I wore for the last day of school. I wanted to end this tough semester on a good note, so I wore my power color: Red!

MY OUTFIT

My mom thinks that I am obsessed with plaid and you know what? She’s absolutely right! Especially red plaid! Black and red just go so well together and I just love wearing these colors. More than half my closet consists of these two colors together and I wouldn’t want my wardrobe to be any other way. A lot of those who have red hair refrain from wearing red clothing because they think it will be a bit of an overkill, but in my book I strongly disagree.

To quote Sheryl Crow’s lyrics, “If it makes you happy, it can’t be that bad!”

Everything in this outfit are pieces that I’ve had for at least two years. The plaid top is from Macy’s and the brand is Material Girl. You cannot see it in this picture, but on the back of this blouse where my shoulders are, there are black sequins! Sequins are a must in your outfit if you plan on going out on New Years Eve!

My leather skirt was on clearance at Express. Still a shopper on a budget here! The tights are from Target and the flats are from Shoedazzle. I’m due for a new pair of black flats now that I think about it. I also want to bring up the fact that when I woke up yesterday morning, I had no idea what to wear. When in doubt, go for one of your go-to outfits or keep your outfit neutral with a pop of color. This will give you an effortlessly cool look for the day.

MY PLANS

  1. Loved Ones

Other than my fashion endeavors, I plan on spending some time with loved ones. I get so busy with work and school that it is always a struggle for me to make time for everyone I care about that does not live under the same roof as I do. I struggle with the fact that I spread myself too thin because I try to make time for everyone. So even though I am looking forward to spending time with friends, I am also going to challenge myself to continue to put myself first.

2. Fitness

I am also going to try to focus on my fitness during these next two weeks. I am a runner, but I hate treadmills. I only want to run if it’s in the great outdoors, but if it’s cold outside, I am not going to want to leave my warm house! I also rely on the gym on campus and at work to help me stay active and fit, but if the facility is closed, so is the fitness center! Let’s not forget the fact that my hardcore Mexican family is going to be making a ton of tamales and all these other goodies and I cannot say no to food!

3. Reading, Writing, Drawing

When I am not drowning in homework or focusing on fashion and I get some time to myself, I am usually doing one of these things. I am going to be reading a few books, starting with The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and Save Me From Myself by Brian Welch, (Korn’s former guitarist). I’ve read Welch’s book before, but I want to read it again! The Night Circus is a book that I started reading, but never got to finish. I already have these two books on hold at my local library.

I hope that anyone who is a student enjoys their free time as well as all hard-working employees who are getting some free time during the holiday season. I hope everyone gets to have a great time and enjoy themselves. While not on here, you all will now know what I will be up to!

Thanks for reading and stay stylish!

My Thanksgiving Break and Thanksgiving Day Outfits

I have been enjoying my week off from school the best way that I can and at first, it was really hard to unwind. I am never one to procrastinate and to not think about priorities first, but I had to change my priorities from work and school and into some fun!

I’m not going to lie, I remember leaving school on Tuesday and eager to go spend some time with my girlfriends. I felt a million times better when I showed up to my friend’s house and saw my two best friends in the world relaxing and looking at some notes. These two have been in my life for a very long time and even though I couldn’t spend the other night with them due to my late PR class, I was ready to make it up to them by taking them to see Justice League.

We went to a nice theater and the first thing that caught my attention was the Gelato. I didn’t hesitate to try some samples and eventually have a serving in my possession. Oh, and we also got a large popcorn. Pretty sure I am going to see the photo that was taken by one of my friends on Facebook sooner or later!

The rest of the night was pretty laid-back. We went back to the house and watched Dancing With The Stars. I was fortunate enough to have tortellini for dinner and didn’t even have to worry about cooking anything! As much as I wanted to stay up later, I still had to report to work at 8 a.m. the next day. I was the loser who went to bed early and the loser who had to wake up by a little before 6 a.m., but I was thankful to at least have a job. My shift flew by and I soon found myself back with my friends to run some errands and prepare for our early Thanksgiving dinner.

While cooking, we watched the movie Annabelle….scariest movie I have ever seen man.

Fast-forward about 3 hours and we were finally eating! The rest of the night went by smoothly and after having so much fun, I realized that I had been way overdue for girl time. So there you have it, I am thankful for my best friends in the whole wide world. No matter how busy I get, I know where to find them when I really need them and they’ll never dismiss me.

Onto the outfits on Thanksgiving day…

thanksthanks1thanks2

This first outfit was for Thanksgiving lunch. Oh yeah, it’s not just dinner over here! Everything in this outfit is from Forever21, but the belt is from Target.

For Thanksgiving dinner, I got a little more elegant.

Before anyone asks about the skirt, it’s actually a dress! This entire outfit is from Target. The necklace is from the store, The Impeccable Pig.

I hope you all liked these outfits and if you actually read this whole blog, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.  I want to just say a big thank you for all my followers on my blog because this morning I reached 70 followers!

I am thankful for everything in this life so far and not a day goes by without me taking to time to give all that I love some recognition. You guys are the best!

Give thanks and stay stylish!
